On The MooT's Nightstand

I really like the bulleted list of just how many ways Sharon Doyle's desperate desires were a curse. I hope they continue on the back cover.

"Aberrated ecstasy" is my favorite.

And Jimmy Slade (or is it Carl Evans?) does seem depleted — if that's either Jimbo or Carl on the bed.

In fact, the dude would seem to be depleted — to the point of being just a legless torso — in which case that pull-up he looks like he's about to attempt is gonna be extra tough.

The cover art of this 1961 classic "whack-back" is by the semi-legendary "Micarelli." A rather pedestrian example of so-called GGA, or "Good Girl Art." Mainly because it's a rear view with none of the obligatory bubbliciousness. C'mon Micarelli! What were you thinkin'?

And "The Strangest Sin" is nowhere near as good a title as "Jade Brothel" or "Lust Sniper."

From the bottomless Cornwall-on-Hudson thrift shop sleazy novel collection, mostly purchased during the summers of 1970 and 1971, when 25 cents got you five used books. Real books. With that old book smell and pages on the verge of disintegration.

And with the best parts underlined, just like you'd expect.
